Welcome to the recruitment section. Before proceeding to the application form it is highly recommended that you read through this section thoroughly and understand the recruitment process in general.
All applications are conducted via an automated email system which all officers have access to. The inbox is checked on a daily basis and we can guarantee that every application is read and considered.
Your application will be treated with strict confidence and your privacy is assured in all but the most obscure circumstances.
Note: If your class and spec is not open in the recruitment window your application will still be considered and it is still worth making an application if you are serious about joining us.
It is highly important that you read the “About” section before applying to us and you take into consideration that we require 99.9% attendance for our 4 raiding days witch are Wed-Thur-Sun-Mon from 18:30 to 23:00 Daggerspine server time [GMT+1].
Applicants must be prepared to offer:
- A strong commitment towards progressive raiding.This means giving a high priority to attending progress raids, you should not be late to raids and you should not need to leave early.
- A mature and productive attitude. High end raids can prove to be very stressful at times, it is crucial that you are mentally prepared for a wipefest as well as be able to calmly accept criticism and follow instructions.
- A good command of the English language. Communication is key to developing tactics and coordination in a raid encounter, you must be able to communicate with a microphone over ventrilo in all raids.
- Comprehensive knowledge of your class and raid dynamics. There is an abundance of information across the internet instructing you on exactly how to maximise your raid performance in a variety of different scenarios. Not everyone has the ability to top the meters in every encounter, however trailing in last every time is unacceptable.
- Social Skills. Striped Socks maintains a very friendly and comfortable social atmosphere, whilst no one minds if you have a quiet predisposition unnecessary drama is not tolerated.
- Respect for the council. Striped Socks operates under a council based leadership system. No decisions are taken lightly whether it be over loot, raid spots or guild ranks so if you disagree witht the council over anything it is advisable to approach the subject calmy and with careful moderation.
